Hola Amigos & Amigas. Your beloved ‘El Presidente’ here. We’ve had some absolute stunner days lately and of course a warm summertime is the best opportunity to get back into a regular dive routine. Temperatures under are around 14 degrees at the moment and set to get a couple degrees warmer so it’s almost rude NOT to be in the water. We’ve had quite a few wicked club outings lately, none more memorable than our Halloween Club dive where a few divers really got into the spirit (see photos below) . There were costumes (most notably a skeleton and a wombat..), delicious candy and even a scary Pumpkin! The spooky club members explored the Dredge 222 (also known as the ‘Swim-through’) in mint visibility and both the Paloona and Moana wrecks along Aramoana Mole for some epic times. If you’re interested in getting back into the water, whether it be after your new certification, or even if you’ve spent a while with your feet on land, just get in touch with me here at Dive Otago and I’d be all to happy to help you piece together a unique adventure in our amazing flooded backyard!
