Participants need to be aware that free diving/snorkelling can be a strenuous physical activity, even in calm water and there are serious risks associated with some medical conditions, especially heart conditions. We advise all participants to check with their doctor, before they book, if free diving/snorkelling is a suitable activity for them.
Swimsuit, towel and a sense of adventure. The pool is around 24-26•c but you will be more comfortable in a wetsuit, so if you have one bring it.
How long does it take? Give yourself approximately 3-4 hours but it really depends on the group. If you are in a large, private group (over 6 people) it may take up to 4.5 hours.
What is he difference between snorkelling and freediving? Snorkelling is very relaxed and the main aim is to snorkel comfortably at the surface and duck dive occasionally to inspect the underwater world a little more closely. Freediving is simply more advanced breath hold snorkelling. In this course we will teach you how to gradually extend your breath hold naturally over time but not how to push your self to your absolute limit.
Can my friends and family come and watch me? They sure can. We have a relaxing area upstairs where they will have a great view of you in the pool. They can have tea or coffee and even take photos through the portholes in the side of our pool.
